Developers Fight Cat Free Zone Laws

Tweed Communities To Be Pussy Free

Developers are fighting regulations that would stop cat-owners moving into new housing developments on the Tweed.

The clause to ban felines from Kings Forest near Kingscliff and Cobaki, west of the airport, was adopted after concerns from environment groups.

Developers are today in mediation with the New South Wales government and Tweed Shire Council in a bid to drop the ban - calling to instead introduce a limit of two cats per home, require all kitties to wear collars, and to be inside after 10 pm.
