A police scene has been established at City of Ink in South Melbourne after the building appeared to have been shot at overnight.
Detectives and forensics were on scene for the apparent shooting on Clarendon St in South Melbourne, believed to have happened overnight.
At least three holes, appearing to resemble bullet holes, were spotted in and around the City of Ink sign above the building's entryway.
The area surrounding the tattoo parlour was taped off as detectives and forensics investigated the incident.
Police are yet to issue a statement.
The building is co-owned by Toby Mitchell and Jake King.
