It's been a slow start to summer but Melbourne's get to see an absolute scorcher this week with temperatures.
Summer will probably arrive on Thursday, with the temperatures hitting 35C while Friday will hit 36C, with winds hitting up to 40km/hr.
But Melbourne's set to miss the brunt of it. Mildura is set to reach 39C, Horsham 38C, Shepparton and Bendigo 36C, Wangaratta and Geelong 35C, and Ballarat 32C. Friday is expected to tip into the 40s in some parts, with Mildura to hit 42C, alongside gusty conditions.
