More Farmers To Recieve Harship Payments

Farmers across the Riverina are set to benefit from improvements to the delivery of the Farm Household Allowance payment currently before Parliament, designed to help local farmers who are experiencing hardship.

Riverina MP and Small Business Minister Michael McCormack spoke in Parliament, in support of changes to the scheme, after listening to the concerns of farmers across the electorate.

The amendments are aiming to address issues around what are and are not classified as 'farm assets', which Mr McCormack says are preventing rightfully eligible farmers from meeting the criteria.
