Nationals Party unveils a plan for new hospital beds.

The Victorian State Election is looming for the region, the Liberal Nationals Party making a mammoth election Promise.

The group have promised to expand Mildura Base Hospital with a new 32 bed ward if the party is successful at the polls.

The party have committed to 20 million dollars in funding has been secured for the scheme, pending the outcome of the election.

The Mildura base hospital currently has 64 General Medicine and Surgery Beds.

Mildura MP Peter Crisp says the new ward would work to help stem surgery delays, last minute cancellations and bed overcrowding.
