Triple M's Hot Breakfast footy reporter Tom Browne believes one Western Australian club will lead the race for Tim Kelly, who has reiterated to Geelong he'd prefer to return home.
TOM BROWNE PICKS THE CLUB:
Kelly is out of contract at the end of next season but is courting with a return home to Western Australia.
It comes after just one season at Geelong where he won the AFLPA best first year player award averaging 23 disposals and a goal a game, and polled 13 Brownlow votes.
Browne told Triple M's Hot Breakfast on Thursday morning one of the WA clubs is in front should Kelly officially request a trade.
"Keep an eye on Tim Kelly and Geelong," he said.
"My mail this morning is he reiterated to Geelong again yesterday that his preference is to head back.
"He's got a year to go on his contract. Obviously, I think he'd see out the year if he had to.
"I think West Coast, in theory, would be in the box seat to get him, but they need to know about (Andrew) Gaff's decision.
"They've got picks 20 and 26 at the moment. Geelong would want more than that."
